The team behind U-proof has won Blockathon in Stockholm. The solution lets those who receive aid take the photo that proves the help arrives, while a fingerprint of the photo is registered on the blockchain.

Three teams reached the Blockathon Stockholm final with answers to problems set by AIMS-Management, the Swedish Red Cross and UNICEF. All use blockchain to verify that a creator approved content, that a message is genuine and that aid was delivered.

Tokenisation at Blockchain Sweden and the Blockathon hackathon final put blockchain on the agenda at Nordic Tech Week in Stockholm this week. The industry discussed going from pilot to production, and new solutions took the stage in Kungsträdgården.
One company holds the licence, the liquidity or the infrastructure. Another holds the customer. That division of labour now runs through the Nordic crypto market in several forms, and this week's edition follows it.
The edition also has the thesis that names the model and sets out why the buyers hesitate.

How to invest in the tokenization trends. Exposure to the platforms behind them — through ETPs. A joint event by Kaupr and Virtune. Live online, Wednesday 7 October, 11:00–12:30 CET. Free.
Kaupr has launched Kaupr Events, a short newsletter about events in onchain finance: our own live events, curated picks from the Nordics and Baltics, and recordings of what you missed. It replaces our Luma calendar as the home for our events.
CEO Gustav Buder: Bitcoin via Kvarn X, gold via Kvarn Metals, account in a bank structure. Goobit is the platform, while its own MiCA application is still under appeal.
Is this how more crypto savings products will be built in the Nordics?
Hi everyone - Anna here. I work at the intersection of regulation, economics and the practical experience of founders. I’m particularly interested in what happens when regulation creates costs and uncertainty that are not obvious from the rules themselves. With the recent complaints from crypto companies to the Danish Ombudsman, this feels especially relevant. In my recent article #7, I look at the problem from the founder’s side, including MiCA, and try to make one thing clearer: where the real burden of regulation falls, and what founders can do when the formal rules and the practical reality diverge. That’s one thing I tend to look at differently: not just whether a regulation is formally correct, but who actually carries its economic cost. Looking forward to learning from the community and contributing where I can. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7486028428601794560/

via Onchain by KauprSomeone shared with me that they thought it was hard to start sharing without knowing who's really here. I agree, also on the suggestion of a member directory, which I have brought to the team in Beehiiv, which has created this content and community platform.
Waiting for any improvements, the best way at the moment would then be to use the Who's here channel to tell something about yourself. And of course, also a hi can work!
Building from zero on Saturday, we are now 20 members, mostly from Sweden and Norway at the moment.
Hi everyone, just wanted to say hello. I’m looking forward to enrich this community with my perspectives and energy.

via Onchain by KauprFollow it as it happens — there's a channel in Onchain Community where everything gets shared and anyone can ask or post.
What it is, who's behind it, and how to take part.
via Onchain by KauprWe're opening a space, Onchain Community, where readers can talk to each other, not just read.
Start in Who's here — I've gone first.
And our first Blockathon Stockholm pre-event is on 20 August.
via Onchain by KauprHi everyone — Morten here.
I run Kaupr, which means I write, edit, produce and press publish, mostly on my own. Before this I spent more than 30 years in communications and consulting, including a stretch as a financial journalist. Right now I'm covering onchain finance across the Nordics and Baltics, and building the place where you can follow it.
One thing you might not know: I sing bass in a mixed choir. Rhythmic stuff — pop, jazz, even hip-hop.
Your turn.
Two of the Nordics' best-known crypto exchanges have put numbers on the table. Safello reported its second quarter on Friday; Firi's 2025 accounts became known on Monday. Both point at the licence — Safello as the position it now holds, Firi as what made last year expensive.
Further down in this issue: events worth your time this autumn, from Helsinki to Riga, and new pieces from Onchain Build.

via Onchain by KauprTwo things happened this week, and they point in opposite directions. A Norwegian company took over the running of a business on another continent. A Swiss company named the Nordics as the first market for its European entity.
Different companies, different regulatory realities, same movement: the Nordic industry is no longer bounded by the Nordics, in either direction.
