A venture builder joins the blockathon in Stockholm

BloXcel has joined FirstBlock-athon as a key partner. The company is a distributed venture-building platform that creates and scales startups across fintech, AI, blockchain, cloud and deep tech.

What happens after the four days

Most hackathon projects end when the demo does. A venture builder in the partner group is aimed at the opposite: teams that want to keep going.

BloXcel works by combining venture strategy, technical expertise and people who have executed before, across an international network. Applied to a hackathon, that means judging ideas on whether they could become a company, not only on whether they run.

Two ways of thinking in the same room

The event has partners who supply infrastructure, partners who bring research, and now one whose job is turning things into businesses. Those are different tests of the same idea, and teams will meet all three over four days.

FirstBlock-athon runs 7–11 September in Stockholm as part of Nordic Tech Week 2026. Applications are open.
