When a creator's face can be generated without asking
Madina Saleh runs AIMS-Management in Cologne, a creator management company working with around 20 creators across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In a meeting she was shown a brand campaign featuring one of her own creators. She had never seen it before. It had been built from a handful of images already published on social media.
That is where her problem statement to the Blockathon in Stockholm starts: how can identity be verified, and ownership of digital content documented, when a creator's face can be reproduced without anyone asking?
She talks through how creator campaigns and buyouts actually work, why buyouts are the commercial core of the management business, and what changes when the content no longer has to be produced at all.
Recorded with Zarina Björklund Rehn at one of Kaupr's three virtual pre-events ahead of FirstBlock-athon, the hackathon week in Stockholm 7–11 September. Nine minutes
